unfortunately for /all/ my good friend here in tulsa, i'm gettin outta here come june 9th, i will be in my small blue car (a 2008 chevy aveo) driving a very long drive to olympia, washington. when we get there, we (my girlfriend liz and i) will unload the rented u-haul trailer and go back to helena and kalispell to pick up all of her stuff that has been left in the wake of all her moves over the past few years. i feel really bad that the internet is how most of you will be finding this out but since i work so much and have already begun packing (we started pretty much as soon as we decided to move) i have little free time left. in fact, as i write this i'm rushed to go do some shopping for my mother and then go to work. but i know all of you have more than a right to know and this is one of the quickest ways to get it out there. my last birthday to share with all of you is right around the corner and although i'm not planning anything special for it, my mother will be out of town for the entire week starting on that auspicious day (she's leaving so early in the morning that normally i'd be asleep except that i'm the one taking her to the airport...). this means that any calls to the house will be more than welcome, any time of the day or night :) i will very likely make it a point to see all of you before i go but unfortunately not all of you live around the corner, indeed some of you have moved and i'm not quite sure i could navigate to (or even know) where you live anymore :( this in itself is a sad fact... as i mentioned before, i am moving with my girlfriend liz, whom i love very much. we are going to olympia because that's where she wants to go to school, because most of her friends are there and she hasn't seen them for far too long now. we are going to live with her best friend jen, who's rent is up at the end of july and who we plan on renting out a house with (plus possibly one other as yet undecided person) don't ask me what my long term future plans are, i've never know that, and in a way i hope i never do. i do know i'll be financially sound because i already know i'll be transferring with u-haul and i'll be going into a full time job instead of the part time position i have here. the entire week my mother is gone i'll still be working obviously and i'm sure many of you will be studying for finals or taking them, or working yourselves but i would love to see you all before i go, and that would be an ideal time to come over. i may have a party one of the nights just before she comes back :) |
